1. Handlers need to send entry form, two pictures of the dog, a copy of the dog’s pedigree id available, and a video of the dog working. Should the dog qualify for the sale you will be notified by January 1, 2011. This form, pictures, video and $100.00 consignment fee should be sent to: NWSS, Erin Dorsey, Attention Livestock Office, 4655 Humboldt St., Denver, CO 80216, by December 15, 2010. If the dog does not qualify your fee will be returned.
2. The sale commission will be 10% of the final bid. Should you no sale the dog you will pay 10% of that bid. We will credit you the $100.00 consignment fee toward your commission payment.
3. Dogs on sale day will be required to have the following:
a. Current rabies shot and certificate.
b. Proof of current parvo-distemper shots.
c. Proof of a negative heartworm test.
d. Current Health Certificate issued by a veterinarian.
4. Level of training. An arena with dog broke cattle will be provided to show your dog. Your dog will be expected to gather cattle unassisted from the far end of the arena as well as showing the dogs ability at driving and penning. We are looking for well started or finished cattle dogs that can take control of livestock. There will be limited entries in an effort to sell quality.
5. After the preview at 9:00 am the committee reserves the right to eliminate any dog from the sale that fails to meet the criteria set by the NWSS. Handlers are urged to represent their dogs honestly and make this an event stockmen will look forward to attending in the future.
